Zoltán Ravasz has been ballet master at Theater Dortmund since 1991. He received his dance training at the Ballet Academy of Clui-Napoca (Rumania). After his graduation, he danced as a principal dancer at the local opera house. Following this engagement, he worked at as principal dancer, head of training and assistant to the director at the State Ballet Rumania, Theater Würzburg and Theater Hagen, before he became head of training and assistant to the ballet director at Theater Dortmund. During his long career he worked with renowned artists such as Hans van Manen, Mauro Bigonzetti, Youri Vámos, Rudi van Dantzig, Nils Christe, Rui Horta, Mario and Silvana Schröder, Benjamin Millepied, Oleg Danowsky, as well as Jurek Makarowski.
